About

So far, so great.

I started out at Lowe & Partners and got right to it, working on brands I’d grown up with like Sprite and Citibank. After years of learning everything I could, I moved away from New York for the first time in my life to Detroit getting an amazing job at DONER. What a great time. I worked almost exclusively on retail. Dozens of campaigns a year. Tons of radio. Humor was king and it was more fun than I ever thought I could have at work. Next up was the creative director position at Ogilvy & Mather in Atlanta working mainly on The Centers for Disease Control and Shoney’s restaurant and running a small department for the first time. Loved the agency, but New York was calling me back. Things really got rolling in New York when I was lucky enough to hook up with some friends from Lowe at Merkley + Partners. I had the great opportunity to lead the creative efforts on Arby’s, AXA Equitable, Glenfiddich Whisky, parts of Mercedes-Benz (including their super luxury brand, Maybach) and the Ad Council effort to combat online sexual predators. From Merkley, I moved on to DDB. As a group creative director, I ran great brands like Subaru, Breyer’s Ice Cream, and Klondike Bars … to mention just a few.

I’ve been short listed at Cannes, wound up in the pages of CA, picked up some One Show Pencils, Clios, Addys, Andys and much more.

Along with working on several brands, I am teaching creativity and campaign development at my alma mater, Ohio University. I live in my old college town with my wife, Susan … my college sweetheart.

Yup, so far, so great.
